Zendaya and Law Roach are the definitive dynamic duo of vintage styling – not to mention method press tour looks. There have been oh-so-many vintage and borrowed serves while promoting her recent film for The Drama. We’re talking her 2015 Vivienne Westwood dress re-wear, THAT Carrie Bradshaw Cachè dress (inspired by Whitney Houston’s Eugene Alexander dress) that had us in full gawk-mode, and of course, the borrowed Giorgio Armani gown first worn by Cate Blanchett.
Now we love seeing Zendaya in all of her vintage/borrowed gown glory, but it was this casual-ish fit that caught our attention. Making a recent appearance in Los Angeles for a special screening of The Drama, the actress paired a lace-trimmed Louis Vuitton skirt from the house’s Fall 2013 collection, designed by Marc Jacobs, with an Emily Dawn Long graphic tee.

Long collaborated with A24 (the studio behind The Drama) to create a limited-edition merch run for the film. Each shirt was made from vintage tees, individually sourced for the occasion, and brought a personal, almost diary-page softness to the outfit. It was a smart high-low balance: sentimental vintage energy up top, runway history below.
