On our radar: CRUDA, the sustainable shoe and handbag company upcycling its way to stunning fashion heights. Costa Rican artist and designer Pamela Hernández founded the Mexico City-based CRUDA almost ten years ago with the intention of responsible production. Working with multiple collaborators who hand-make each shoe and purse individually means each piece is one-of-a-kind.
CRUDA’s shoes are some of the most gorgeous, funkiest, and fabulous pieces of wearable art that are almost 100% made from repurposed raw materials including curated pre-used leather garments, upcycled wood from old homes, and used furniture. The sweetest sustainably produced shoes and bags that scream with style and personality come from all those upcycled goods, leaving CRUDA deserving of all the fashion flowers.
